Who’s coming and who’s going from the casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
The infamous Dr. Wilhelm Rolf is resurfacing on Days of our Lives, however, actor Will Utay, who’s portrayed the character since his inception in 1997, won’t be playing him. Richard Wharton has taken over the role on the soap opera and debuts on Friday, July 22. Wharton, who’s done bit parts on The Young and the Restless, has a bunch of primetime credits including UnCorked, Criminal Minds, and American Crime Story.
Chandler Massey’s visit as Will Horton is coming to an end. The character gets an unexpected job offer and leaves Salem on Monday, July 18.
Elia Cantu premieres as Detective Jada Hunter on Tuesday, July 19. She’s the new cop on the soap opera’s police force.
Mark Bramhall appears as Governor Mitchell, this week. He’ll share scenes with George DelHoyo’s Orpheus.
It’s time to say goodbye to General Hospital soap opera legend Genie Francis for a few weeks. The actress is heading off on her annual summer vacation. As a result, Laura Collins will be leaving Port Charles to tend to a family emergency and visit her mother, Dr. Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) in Italy.
Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) court case begins this week, and Carolyn Hennesy will be on the scene representing her as attorney Diane Miller. Meanwhile, Jennifer Fieldwill returns as Jennifer Arden, the assistant district attorney prosecuting the case.
Brian Norris is back as Felty, the shady photographer who’s been harassing Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson).
A favorite Abbott family member pops up on The Young and the Restless this week. Eileen Davidson is back for more screen time on the soap opera as Ashley, Jack (Peter Bergman), and Traci’s (Beth Maitland) sister. She’ll share scenes with Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis.
Over at The Bold and the Beautiful as the search for the missing Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) continues, Dan Martin is back on the soap opera as Deputy Chief Detective Baker. He’ll air on Monday, July 18, and Tuesday, July 19.
In addition, Ken Hanes is back as Sheila’s sidekick, Mike Guthrie. He’ll appear on Monday, July 18, Tuesday, July 19, and Friday, July 22.
