Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (Y&R)?

Soap Opera Casting For The Week of July 19, 2021

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless is hosting an appearance by country music duo Tigirlily. Singing sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh will appear as themselves on Thursday, July 22.

Michael Mealor officially confirmed that he’s exiting his role as Kyle Abbott on Instagram. The actor has been with the soap since 2018.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Over at The Bold and the Beautiful, renowned fashion photographer, Ellen von Unwerth, appears as herself on Monday, July 19. She’ll share scenes with Thorsten Kaye’s Ridge Forrester and Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke Logan Forrester.

Now that Vinnie Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) hit-and-run “murder” case has been successfully resolved, and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) have been set free, actor Dan Martin has wrapped up his latest run as Deputy Chief Bradley Baker. The L.A. cop could return at a later date.

General Hospital

Daytime veteran Cameron Mathison, remembered as Ryan Lavery on All My Children, is on the General Hospital set shooting scenes as an undisclosed character. Rumors abound that he might be playing the back-from-the-dead Drew Cane.

Roger Howarth’s new character, his third on GH, has been revealed. He’s playing Austin Gatlin-Holt, the son of Jimmy Lee Holt and Charity Gatlin.

Albert Malafronte portrayed Dr. Ford, the medico, who delivered bad news to Phyllis Caufield (Joyce Guy) and Lenny Caufield (Rif Hutton) about Lenny’s heart condition.

Days of our Lives

Greg Vaughan is set to wrap up his brief soap opera return to Days of our Lives as Eric Brady. The character, who resurfaced in Salem after a 10-month absence last week, heads back to Africa this week, following an emotional confrontation with his wife, Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker). Please note that air dates may be subject to change.
