Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
Alley Mills, who’s been MIA as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Pam Douglas for months, is about to tackle a new role on General Hospital. The soap opera is keeping the character details, as well as her name, under wraps. Mills, however, has already begun taping and will begin appearing later this month.
The Pentonville prisoner contingent is featuring a couple of familiar faces. Jeff Kober has popped back in as Cyrus Renault. He helped fellow inmate Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) out of a scuffle last week.
Also involved in that scuffle was Brad Schmidt, who’s now playing an inmate named Book. Schmidt previously filled in for Johnny Wactor as Brando Corbin.
Good news for Tripp Johnson fans. Lucas Adams is back as the popular character on Friday, October 14, when he visits his ailing stepmother, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Adams made his last Days of our Lives appearance in June, when his character left town and moved to Seattle.
Two actors who debuted on Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem 2 join the main soap opera this week. Tanner Stine premieres as the new Joey Johnson on Friday, October 14, when he arrives in town to support his mom, Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans). Joey was previously played by James Lastovic (2015-2017, 2020).
Victoria Grace as Wendy Shin also pops into town to meet up with her brother Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) on Tuesday, October 11. Grace’s credits include numerous primetime guest spots and voice work in various projects, the most memorable being Lady Bone Demon in the film LEGO Monkie Kid: Revenge of the Spider Queen..
James Hyde, remembered as Sam Bennett on Passions and Neil Johanssen on Another World, has been cast to portray Jeremy Stark on The Young and the Restless. The character is someone from Diane Jenkins’s (Susan Walters) past and is set to begin airing later this month.
Another Big Brother season has wrapped, which means it’s time for a contestant or three to show up on B&B. Taylor Hale, the winner of season 24, along with runner-up Monte Taylor and Joseph Abdin, will be popping up on the CBS soap opera soon.
Popular young actor Henry Joseph Samiri will be back as Douglas Forrester on Monday, October 10. The kid star had to be replaced for several episodes because he was working on another project.
Django Ferri, who filled in during Samiri’s absence, has wrapped up his stint with the show. However, he could be back in the future.
Hollis W. Chambers is back as Paul, the Il Giardino bartender. He’ll air on Wednesday, October 12.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
