Daytime drama fans are always witnessing soap opera comings and goings. Who’s in and who’s out at The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?
Here’s a list of the soap opera comings and goings news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
A twisted troublemaker resurfaces at General Hospital. Alley Mills reprises her role as Heather Webber this week. The character was hauled off to prison last February, after being exposed as The Hook killer.
Walt Willey is back for two more episodes as Jackson Montgomery, the character he originated on All My Children. He airs on Monday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 18.
Réal Andrews makes another appearance as Marcus Taggert on Wednesday, July 19. Look for the character to check in on Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
Kendrick Cross pops back in as Detective Bennett. The lawman, who’s on hand to investigate a crime, last aired in March.
Maurice Hall has been cast as the shady Gordon. The character surfaces in Port Charles this week.
Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) longtime partner in crime is back on The Bold and the Beautiful. Ken Hanes reprises his role as Mike Guthrie on Wednesday, July 19. The two pals will reconnect in prison.
Akeem Mair turns up as a prison guard in the above-mentioned scenes. He airs on Wednesday, July 19.
Scott Hamm plays The Bailiff on Friday, on July 21. The character is on hand during Sheila’s day in court.
Rodney Van Johnson, remembered as T.C. Russell on Passions, returns as Sheila’s lawyer, Russell. Van Johnson, who made his last appearance back in January, airs Friday, July 21.
Sophia Paras McKinlay pops back in as Kelly, Liam (Scott Clifton) and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) daughter. She appears on Monday, July 17.
Over at Days of our Lives the continuing battle over Rachel’s custody means more airtime for Finley Rose Slater. The young actress appears as Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) daughter on Monday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 18.
A.K. Murtadha portrays Marshall Sam Gerard on Friday, July 21. The character turns up in Salem looking for the missing Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers), who failed to return to prison.
With the case against Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) about to take center stage on The Young and the Restless, two leading ladies will be prominently featured in the courtroom drama. Look for Lauralee Bell and Vail Bloom to get considerably more airtime as Christine Williams and Heather Stevens, respectively. The pair are back this week with Christine serving as the prosecutor on the case and Heather taking over Phyllis’s defense.
