The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, January 22 features an explosive and volatile confession by Dr. Buckingham!
A Childless Mother
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) paid her daughter a visit and found Hope (Annika Noelle) in quite a state. The grieving mom was spiraling into a dark pit of despair and ready to give up on life outside the cottage.
Even talk of HFTF didn’t perk up the designer. All Hope wanted was her bed or her baby. Life just isn’t worth living if she keeps failing at being a mom.
Poor Brooke was at a loss. All she could do was offer comfort and promise things would be better one day.
What Hope doesn’t know is her baby is still very much alive. Reese (Wayne Brady) confirmed that Beth indeed survived when he was forced to tell Flo (Katrina Bowden) the whole sordid tale.
He admitted everything to his lovely cohort. Another mom lost her baby and wanted to keep the whole ordeal a secret. He was working alone so he kept the stillborn off the books.
Then, when Hope passed out, he decided to take the opportunity to change his life. He knew Steffy was looking to adopt (and money wasn’t an option). So, he kidnapped Beth, gave Hope the other baby, and put his impromptu plan into action.
Flo was horrified. But, is she upset enough to stop his evil deed before it goes any further?
Considering The Consequences
Meanwhile, unaware of the drama, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and her mother talked about bringing the baby home. They both want a sister for Kelly and couldn’t believe their good fortune.
However, the timing is off. Steffy won’t even consider adopting until she knows she won’t be rubbing salt in Hope’s wounds.
