The Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, January 22 featured Eve planning Jack’s future while she also seems to hold the key to his past!
Eric (Greg Vaughan) flipped out over Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) betrayal with Xander (Paul Telfer). He blasted her but she said she didn’t owe him an explanation and then proceeded to give him one, saying Xander was kind to her.
Eric said Xander played her and called her stupid. Sarah said she used Xander, but Eric pointed out it was payback and it worked. He wanted nothing to do with her and left.
Xander tried to make Leo (Greg Rikaart) believe they slept together to gain leverage, but Leo said only if they have sex that he enjoyes and remembers. He realized Xander drugged him and wished him luck becoming Kiriakis CEO. Xander’s day got worse when Brady told him he’s the new CEO.
Sonny (Freddie Smith) told Brady (Eric Martsolf) he’s one step closer to getting rid of Leo. Brady realized Leo had something on his and let Sonny know he’s the new CEO. Sonny congratulated him and sincerely meant it. Leo later found him and insisted they hang out.
Rex (Kyle Lowder) told his mother he slept with Sarah’s sister and asked her advice on how to win her back. Kate lambasted him for telling Sarah the truth and insisted he be patient. Later, Eric came storming in but Rex didn’t reveal what was going on with him and instead said someone he cared about let him down.
Eve (Kassie DePaiva) had to deal with Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) distrust, but when she showed him the lucrative job offer she turned down for him (so she says), he apologized for doubting her.
They brainstormed how to make money. He wanted to go back to journalism, but Eve nixed it and suggested he run for mayor. Jack called himself “The Clean Slate Candidate” to show his enthusiasm for the idea.
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) told Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) the FDA took Dr. Rolf’s memory formula — and they aren’t ready to test it on humans.
Kayla did have a long-shot idea — using Dr. Rolf’s notes to recreate it but then they couldn’t find the diary. Later, we saw Eve with a book that looks to be Dr. Rolf’s diary.
