The Bold and The Beautiful’s Rena Sofer revealed last week that she would be a judge at the Miss Universe pageant and now that a winner has been crowned, the actress is sharing her experience.
Rena Sofer Heads To Israel To Help Crown Miss Universe
After flying to Eilat, Israel for the ceremony, which was hosted by six-time host Steve Harvey on Dec. 12, Sofer cast her vote alongside fellow judges supermodel Adriana Lima, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, and actresses Urvashi Rautela, Marian Rivera and Adamari López.
Harnaaz Sandhu of India was named the reigning Miss Universe and Sofer took to Instagram to offer her best wishes. “Congratulations to @harnaazsandhu_03 on becoming @missuniverse !!!,” she wrote, posting a video of the moment. “So well deserved. Enjoy your year!!!”
A follow-up post included an image of Sofer along with Sandhu. “So well deserved!! May your reign be filled with good people and good humor and great experiences!!” Sofer wrote. “I’m so honored to be a part of your journey!!”

In a third post, Rena Sofer gave some cheers to Miss USA, Elle Smith of Kentucky, and added a photo of the two of them together. “She was very poised and so sweet!!” Sofer wrote, adding that she thought she did an amazing job.
And she ended with props to her fellow judges and backstage host Carson Kressley. “carsonkressley is just so much fun!!” Sofer said. “[Adriana Lima] was so nice and really great to sit next to during the show. She kept me calm during voting! [Paula Shugart, president of Miss Universe] is so wonderful. She loves what she does and @missuniverse is so important to her. I’m so grateful that she asked me to be a part of this amazing show!”
Rena Sofer also called her Israeli counterpart, Rina Mor-Goder, “an inspiration” and enjoyed her time talking with her. It’s definitely clear that the actress had a fun time and enjoyed her weekend away. Hopefully, Quinn can find some of that same happiness as she works on her marriage to Eric Forrester (John McCook).
