Denise Richards took a break from The Bold and the Beautiful to film the movie Wickensburg up in Canada, a story about a mom and her young son who move to a small town with a dark secret.
Filming for that project is over and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star posted to Instagram that she’s glad she’s back in the States. “Home sweet home,” the actress wrote, adding an emoji of a house. “Flew back from Toronto. A whirlwind shoot, long days, different locations. Love my job, love meeting new people & working on different projects. I feel so blessed to be able to continue doing what I love & still so passionate about.”
But not everything was rosy with her post. Richards knows first-hand what it’s like to be the subject of gossip, having spent a great deal of her career as tabloid fodder. So, she fired back a bit after some sordid social media responses appeared based on her daughter’s TikTok last week.
“And… anything going on in my personal life…Well, over the many years.. whether I’m filming or doing live talk shows, with lots of stuff in the media. It was painful, humiliating at times, and challenging,” she wrote. “However, I was raised to show up, be professional, & suck it up buttercup, give 150percent & park the crapola outside the door. And that is what I do. At least I try my best to do.”
She thanked the cast and crew of Wickensburg—which includes Jensen Gering, the son of Days of our Lives star Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez) — for supporting her. “[Y]ou’re the best & miss all of you already,” Richards wrote. “Thank you for having me.”
Richards also snapped back at the Daily Mail, which posted some unflattering photos of the star. “And yes…. @dailymail … I just landed after working long days. Maybe I should start having my glam done on my flights & my glam done going to the grocery store. starting to see why I should,” she said. “Kinda over seeing crappy pics of myself. I get it.”
The actress is happily returning to the B&B set according to a follow-up post she put up of her adorable dogs. “These two tired little ones all snuggled up by me while I go over my lines for @boldandbeautifulcbs doing 3 episodes tomorrow… early call gotta be up at 4:30am… 😴” That’s welcomed news for B&B fans as it’s only a matter of time before Shauna Fulton and BFF Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) get into some sort of new mess.
