Actors helping actors is a tale as old as time. And if the actors happen to be close friends (or friendly exes), then all the more reason for the assist. Denise Richards wanted to help a soap star and gave a special recommendation.
Which Soap Star Was It?
All of these actors either currently play a character on, or are an alum of, one of the four remaining soaps – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. But only one of them can say they snagged a film role thanks to fellow thespian (and BB actress) Denise Richards.
But who can that actor be? Was it Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester, BB), Patrick Muldoon (ex-Austin Reed, DAYS), Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed, DAYS), or Eileen Davison (Ashley Abbott, YR)?
Thorsten Kaye
They play friends, snuggle buddies, and kissy-face on BB – and if hearsay can be believed, they are about to begin playing bigamous spouses! But even though Kaye and Richards have been making sweet, sweet music during the daytime hours, they have yet to be part of the same cast of a feature film.
Eileen Davidson
Though they both appeared on the same structured reality series – The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – Richards and Davidson’s paths initially didn’t cross. The former joined the cast in 2018 while the latter had departed the year previous. However, they have subsequently filmed episodes of the project together – but that’s about as far as the association between these two goes.

Lisa Rinna
Rinna and Richards both appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and they have been good pals for over 20 years. They share the reality show limelight, a warm relationship, and they’ve also “shared” the actual answer to today’s identity query.
Patrick Muldoon
Both women dated Muldoon in the early to mid-90s. It’s worth noting that he and Rinna were both on DAYS at the time, playing brother and sister! – and the trio has maintained close ties ever since.
In fact, it was thanks to Richards (who still answers to her ex’s pet-name, “schweet babe”) that Muldoon was hired to play Zander Barkalow in the Paul Verhoeven-directed film Starship Troopers – which also starred Richards in a leading role.
So, if you guessed that the soap star in question was Patrick Muldoon, then you were absolutely correct!
