B&B spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 14, 2021, features father-daughter bonding over a shared passion, Katie Logan and Brooke Logan Forrester expressing their concern over Ridge Forrester’s attitude about Deacon Sharpe and Hope Logan Spencer, and Ridge and Taylor Hayes looking for all the world like they’re in love.
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) couldn’t believe that Taylor (Krista Allen) had returned. Taylor let Ridge know she planned to stick around Los Angeles for a while, and he was thrilled to hear it. Ridge declared Taylor selfless, but she said her reasons for returning were somewhat selfish. She missed her kids and wanted to be part of her grandchildren’s lives. Taylor’s return made Ridge happy, which might not be great for his rocky marriage.
Things got a bit strained when Taylor expressed her wish that Douglas lived with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) instead of Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) in Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) cabin.
But, Taylor didn’t want to cause problems for Ridge and Brooke. Oopsie, Taylor realized that Brooke and Ridge already have marriage trouble. Although Taylor tried to back off, Ridge admitted his and Brooke’s issues happened due to Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) return. Not surprisingly, Taylor supported Ridge.
At the office, Thomas expressed his disbelief that his mom showed up at Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) door. Steffy thought she hallucinated their mom, but both siblings expressed delight at the thought of their mom hanging out with her grandbabies.
In the end, Steffy admitted she’s proud of Thomas for accepting their mom’s help. They’re so glad Taylor is back, but they both feel she’s still in love with their dad. Later, they walked in on their parents hugging.
Katie (Heather Tom) and Brooke talked about what a challenging situation Ridge left Brooke in given his attitude about Deacon. Ultimately, though, they felt that Hope deserves to have a relationship with her dad just like they did. Isn’t it wonderful that Deacon wants to do right by Hope after all this time?
The sisters discussed their painful memories of their dad’s abandonment, noting how difficult holidays were for them. They wanted to see Hope get the opportunity to enjoy having her father in her life. Deacon’s change of heart is beautiful and amazing, and Brooke wished Ridge would see that. In the end, with family, forgiveness is never wrong (unless it is).
At Hope and Liam’s, Deacon dropped by, and Hope reiterated that her dad is always welcome in her home despite her husband’s concerns. Deacon adored watching his granddaughter nap, and Hope wanted her dad and daughter to bond further.
Deacon regretted he couldn’t make up for his past mistakes, but he’s thrilled that Hope gave him a second chance, and he promised not to let his daughter down. Then, they bonded over their mutual enjoyment of martial arts. Deacon even gave Hope her first lesson by bopping her in the head during a bow.
