Last month, General Hospital’s favorite Maurice Benard sat down with Soap Hub and our Insider members for an intimate fireside chat via Zoom.
The Soap Hub staff had the pleasure of introducing the actor and asking him all about his brand-new book, Nothing General About It, as well as his new flick, Equal Standard. The actor is exponentially proud of both projects, but the real thrill was for fans who got to chat with one of their favorite soap stars.

Everyone had a chance to ask Benard their own questions, including whether he’d ever write another book and where the idea for the title Nothing General About It came from. The actor also got to discuss his struggles with mental illness, his years as Sonny, and how Tony Geary made sure that Mr. Corinthos would be a character that stayed around for a long, long time. It was a thrilling and intimate hour and 10 lucky fans received personally autographed copies of the actor’s book.
