Who Did This Snappy Dresser Of A Young Man Grow Up To Play On Soaps?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this bespectacled youth grew up to be?

Star Of The Soaps

Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not much a hint.

So try these on for size. He is a three-time Daytime Emmy Award winner and an actor who has appeared on three soaps operas. He played the same role in two of the shows and he also had a recurring role on a hit primetime program.

But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon Sharpe, BB), Brandon Barash (Jake, DAYS), Bradford Anderson (ex-Damian Spinelli, GH), or Christian Le Blanc (Michael Baldwin, YR)?

Sean Kanan

Kanan has acted in FOUR daytime serials – BB, YR, GH (ex-AJ Quartermaine), and Sunset Beach (ex-Jude Cavanaugh) – though he did indeed play one character (Deacon Sharpe) in two of them (BB and YR). And despite his obvious talent, Kanan has yet to be recognized by Daytime Emmy voters (though that may change this Friday night). But he isn’t today’s featured star.

Brandon Barash

Barash’s first acting credit was a recurring role on Gilmore Girls (where he played Jamie). However, he has (so far) only appeared on two soaps – GH (ex-Johnny Zacchara) and DAYS. So he isn’t the answer to today’s identity query.

Bradford Anderson

And neither is Anderson. GH is his sole introduction to the soap opera genre and though he did take his GH alter ego to that show’s primetime spinoff – GH: Nightshift – that doesn’t fit today’s featured star’s hints.

Christian Le Blanc

Le Blanc’s first acting gig was Kirk McColl on As the World Turns. He followed that up with a turn as Patrolman Junior Abernathy on In the Heat of the Night and, much later, a role on YR – for which he has won three Daytime Emmys (2005, 2007, and 2009).

In 2005, he returned to his old stomping grounds – by carrying the Michael Baldwin part over to ATWT for a number of episodes. And in 2009, he guest-starred on Guiding Light as “Wedding Guest.”

So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Christian Le Blanc – who has been apart of the YR canvas since December 1991 (minus a brief respite between 1994 and April 1997) – then you were absolutely correct!
