They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this action enthusiast grew up to be?

Star Of The Soaps

Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.

So try these on for size. He is a country boy, born and bred. He was bitten by the acting bug early in life. He is a graduate of the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (Hollywood). His professional career was jump-started by an appearance on a macabre anthology series. He is also a fitness enthusiast and a budding musician/singer.

But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Matthew Atkinson (Thomas Forrester, BB), Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Weston, DAYS), Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillion Quartermaine, GH), or Mark Grossman (Adam Newman, YR)?

Matthew Atkinson

Though born in Marietta, Georgia, Atkinson and his family lived in both Alabama and Mississippi before finally settling in Kennesaw, Georgia. He discovered his passion for acting while in high school and his first professional acting gig was a small part in the nighttime soap One Tree Hill. So he isn’t today’s featured star.

Robert Scott Wilson

Wilson was 19 when he left Boston, Massachusetts for New York (on the advice of friends) to try his hand at acting. His first gig was Bride Wars – a feature film starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson – though most of his fans know him for his turn as DAYS’ Ben Weston, a role he has held (on-and-off) since 2014. However, he isn’t the answer to today’s identity query.

Mark Grossman

And neither is Grossman. Though he does enjoy keeping fit like our actor in question, Grossman didn’t quite consider a career in acting until well into his 20s – he was far more interested in a professional motocross career.

Robert Palmer Watkins

Born in Salisbury, North Carolina, Watkins lived in both Winston-Salem and Richmond, Virginia where he remembers hanging out by the river, running around barefoot, using the word “y’all” with a thick country accent, and honing his acting skills at the Henrico Center for the Performing Arts.

After two years studying musical theater at Christopher Newport University, Watkins headed West, enrolled in American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and graduated from their two-year program. His first professional credit was the Spike TV series 1000 Ways to Die. In his spare time, Watkins enjoys hiking and trips to the gym as well as jam sessions with his friends.

So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Robert Palmer Watkins – the second adult actor to portray General Hospital’s Dillion Quartermaine (a role he held from 2015 to 2017) – then you were absolutely correct!
