They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this cool little dude grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. He grew up on a farm in Texas. He was a voracious sportsman in high school. His first professional role was the short film Big Feet. He is known for roles in both Disney Channel and Nickelodeon originals series. He is a soap hopper. And he was a Daytime Emmy Award nominee.
But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Anthony Turpel (ex-R.J. Forrester, BB), Lucas Adams (Tripp Dalton, DAYS), Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos, GH), or Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman, YR)?
Anthony Turpel
Turpel may have been a 2017 Daytime Emmy nominated actor, but the bourgeoning young thespian hails from sunny California – not the Lone Star State – and his first acting gig was in an episode of Comedy Bang! Bang! So he isn’t today’s featured star.
Chad Duell
While still a high school student, Duell excelled at a number of sports including football though he always made the time to perform in the theater department’s latest offering. He’s appeared in multiple Disney Channel offerings and for his work on GH, Duell has received six Daytime Emmy Award nominations (and one win). However, he isn’t a soap hopper nor does he hail from Texas. Another swing; another miss.
Justin Hartley
Soap hopper? Check! Nominated for a Daytime Emmy? Check! A native of Texas? That’s where the similarities between Hartley and the answer to today’s identity query begin to fray. Hartley was born in Knoxville, Illinois, was raised in Chicago, and the daytime serial Passions served as his first acting credit.
Lucas Adams
After graduating from high school, Adams bid his Texas homestead adieu and relocated to Los Angeles in order to pursue his acting ambition. The short film Big Feet helped him to get a foothold in the industry and he eventually found work in series such as School of Rock and The Thundermans (both on Nickelodeon), Disney’s Liv and Maddie, and YR (ex-Wesley).
So if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was the soon-to-return Lucas Adams – who received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his outstanding work as a revenge-seeking mourner on DAYS – then you were absolutely correct!
