They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this adorable beach-ready girl grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young woman (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. She’s has been acting since the age of 5. She joined the cast of Annie while it was on Broadway. She was a cheerleader in junior high. She is a singer. She is a soap hopper. And she worked alongside her younger brother on the set of a daytime serial.
But just who can she be? Is this a photograph of Heather Tom (Katie Logan, BB), Olivia Rose Keegan (ex-Claire Brady, DAYS), Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome, GH), or Hunter King (Summer Newman, YR)?
Heather Tom
Tom has appeared in multiple soaps – including YR (ex-Victoria Newman), One Life to Live (ex-Kelly Cramer), and BB – and during her tenure on the former program, she worked alongside her brother David who played Abbott scion Billy. But she isn’t today’s featured star.
Olivia Rose Keegan
Keegan is most certainly a talented singer. However, she didn’t begin pursuing an acting career until she was 12 years old and DAYS has (so far) served as her only experience in the daytime series genre. So she isn’t the answer to today’s identity query.
Hunter King
And neither is King. This in spite of the fact that she was, at one time, a cheerleader and competitive gymnast. However, she was never an Annie cast member, and though she does have a younger sister who is also an actress – Joey King – they have never worked opposite each other on a soap.
Kristen Alderson
Alderson was 5 when she began to pursue her dream of becoming an actress and she successfully auditioned for the role of Molly in a Broadway production of Annie. When the show went on tour, Alderson traveled with it.
She was subsequently cast in the role of Starr Manning on OLTL and she would remain a member of the ABC soap’s cast until its cancellation in 2012. Afterward, Alderson transplanted the character of Starr over to GH before briefly exiting and then returning as a wholly new character: Kiki Jerome.
So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Kristen Alderson – who worked alongside her younger brother, Eddie, on OLTL (where he played Matthew Buchanan) – then you were absolutely correct!
