They rule the daytime roosts but some of your favorite soap stars have a resume full of guest-starring roles in a plethora of primetime programs.

Which Soap Star Was It?

All of these actresses currently or at one time portrayed a character on one of the four remaining soaps – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. But only one of them played a saloon girl in an episode of the seminal western drama Little House on the Prairie.

But who can that actress be? Was it Alley Mills (Pamela Douglas, BB), Suzanne Rogers (Maggie Horton Kiriakis, DAYS), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis, GH), and Jennifer Landon (ex-Heather Stevens, YR)?

Alley Mills

Mills never appeared in an episode of Little House. However, she did have experience acting in a series from a similar genre, considering her recurring role in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.

Suzanne Rogers

Rogers resume does indeed include an episode of Little House (entitled Second Spring) – but her character wasn’t a saloon girl. Instead, Rogers played Molly Reardon, a housewife who turned the head of General Store owner Nels Oleson, much to the chagrin of his shrewish spouse Harriet.

Jennifer Landon

Landon was born in August 1983, five months shy of Little House’s series finale. She did, however, get the chance to work opposite her father – Michael Landon, Little House’s Executive Producer, occasional writer, frequent director, and longtime star – in the final episode of his subsequent project, Highway to Heaven.

Nancy Lee Grahn

Grahn appeared in a 1980 episode of Little House entitled He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not Part 2. In it, she played a saloon girl. Of the experience, Grahn would later recall that Michael Landon (who helmed that particular installment), “Kept calling me Sweetie,” a term of endearment she didn’t exactly appreciate. “…I’m going, ‘My name isn’t Sweetie. He was very nice, though.”

So, if you guessed that the soap star in question was Nancy Lee Grahn, then you were absolutely correct!
