Inauguration Day is coming up soon in the United States. Unfortunately for soap fans, this means that The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and The Bold and the Beautiful will not be on that day as networks cover the event.
On Friday, January 20th, the United States will swear in its 45th President, which will preempt the regular daytime programming.
The Presidential Inauguration starts around 12 p.m. EST on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. During the event, the newly elected President and Vice President will take their oaths of office and then the President will give the inaugural address.
There is good news, though. According to Soaps.com, viewers will not miss any new episodes of the shows that day. In fact, regular programming returns on Monday, January 23.
Will you tune into the inauguration? How will you cope with missing out on a full day of soaps?
