It was a shock to both the entertainment industry and the entire soap world when Kristoff St. John was found dead on Sunday night. Neil Winters was expected to be a part of The Young and the Restless for years to come, but sadly the soap is saying goodbye to the actor who played him this week.
St. John’s last show as Neil aired on Wednesday and, on Friday, the episode ends with a beautiful tribute to the actor, eerily narrated by the actor himself.
St. John begins the short and poignant video talking about what an honor it has been to be a part of something like YR for so long.
It segues into memorable moments since 1991 when the actor first premiered as Neil, an up and coming executive trainee working for Jabot. Over the years, his family arrived in Genoa City and Neil even raised a family of his own.
The Winters clan has been a core family since the 90s on YR and now it’s losing its patriarch.
Take a sneak peek look at the video above as YR honors and remembers this daytime legend taken from the world much too soon.
