Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.
The Week of June 9, 2025
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Jack Wagner returns to B&B as Nick Marone on Friday, June 13. He originally played the character, who’s been married to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Taylor (Rebecca Budig), and Bridget (Ashley Jones), from 2003 to 2012. Wagner is back for a pivotal run on the soap and has already filmed on location scenes in Italy with co-stars John McCook, who plays Eric, and Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge. He made his last appearance on the show in 2022 for a special 35th anniversary episode.
Christian Weissman resurfaces as Remy Price this week. Last scene in February, Electra’s (Laneya Grace) former stalker shares scenes with Lisa Yamata’s Luna on Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10, when he unknowingly helps the diabolical murderess with her treacherous plans for Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
General Hospital
Is “The Britch” back on GH? Kelly Thiebaud is returning to the soap she left back in 2023, when she was killed off as Dr. Britt Westbourne. It’s likely the actress will be appearing as someone new, unless there’s a surprise twist that resurrects her old character. Thiebaud debuted as Britt in 2012 and left the soap in 2015. She had return stints from 2017 to 2018 and 2020 to 2023. She’ll begin airing next month.
In a surprise casting move, Jonathan Jackson is out as Lucky Spencer. Jackson, who debuted as Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) son in 1993, returned to the soap in August 2024. His final scenes will air this week.
Michael (Rory Gibson) and Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) divorce and custody hearing continues to take center stage this week, which means Carolyn Hennesy is back as Diane Miller, Michael’s attorney. Meanwhile, Tess Auberjonois continues appearing as Eva Heran, the judge presiding over the heated case.
The Young and the Restless
A popular couple is back at Y&R. Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian are returning to the canvas as Christine Blair and Danny Romalotti. (Bell reflects on the popular couple, here.) The pair was last on screen in January. Bell and Damian are back for a new story arc beginning Friday, June 13.
Daytime vet Michael Swan has been cast as an Ian Ward lookalike, who’ll appear for several episodes. The character debuted on Friday, June 6, and pops in again on Monday, June 9, in scenes with Camryn Grimes’ Mariah. Mariah, of course, is a former disciple of the real Ian Ward (Ray Wise), a diabolical cult leader. Swan is best remembered to soap fans for his roles as Duncan McKechnie on As the World Turns and Adam Alexander on B&B.
Melissa Ordway gets more screen time as Abby Newman Winters this week. The actress, whose status with the show is now recurring, shares scenes with Bryton James’ Devon, Christel Khalil’s Lily, and Sean Dominic’s Nate on Friday, June 13.
Cait Fairbanks continues to air as Tessa Porter. She appears on Monday, June 9 in scenes with Grimes and Michael Graziadei’s Daniel.
Valarie Pettiford returns as Amy Lewis too. She interacts with her TV son, Jermaine Rivers’ Damian, on Friday, June 13.
On the exit front, Jai Rodriguez has completed his guest stint as Pietro. The former Queer Eye for the Straight Guy star was the party planner behind Nikki’s birthday bash.
Days of our Lives
Add Charles Shaughnessy to the long list of performers returning for John’s memorial service on DAYS. The actor resurfaces as Shane Donovan on Monday, June 9. He shares scenes with Deidre Hall’s Marlena and others during his visit to the show.
Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso get more screen time as supercouple Bo and Hope Brady. The duo resurface in Salem on Tuesday, June 10, as John’s funeral comes to a close.
Also continuing their story arcs are Melissa Reeves as Jennifer Deveraux, Matthew Ashford as Jack Deveraux, Greg Vaughan as Eric Brady, Christie Clark as Carrie Brady Reed, and Chandler Massey as Will Horton.
Alice Halsey is back as Rachel Black, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) daughter. She airs on Monday, June 9.
That was Vincent Simard portraying Bo Weston last week. The tyke is Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) son. And Adam Chambers played Dave, a skydiving instructor, in scenes with Chad (Billy Flynn) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord).
