Casting For The Week of September 16, 2024

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.

Days of our Lives

A top supercouple is heading back to Days of our Lives. Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso, who began portraying Bo Brady and Hope Williams back in 1983, are returning to the soap. (Check out the twosome’s top 10 moments here.) The two actors are currently on set and filming a story arc that is set to air next May. Reckell and Alfonso last appeared on screen together in April of 2023. When last seen, Bo had slipped into a coma after being shot by his son, Shawn (Brandon Beemer). 

James Read is back as villain Clyde Weston. He will appear opposite Stephen Nichols’ Steve on Thursday, September 19.

Tina Huang resurfaces as Melinda Trask. Look for the character, who’s being held captive by Connie (Julie Dove), to be featured heavily this week beginning on Tuesday, September 17.

Michael J. Craven portrays a Salem cop on Wednesday, September 18. He’s involved in scenes with Jackée Harry’s Paulina.

General Hospital

Lulu Spencer Falconieri is about to awaken from her coma on General Hospital. The show has recast the popular character, last played by Emme Rylan from 2013 to 2020. Daytime alumna Alexa Havins is set to tackle the role of Luke and Laura’s daughter. Havins is best known for her role as Babe Carey Chandler on All My Children. She begins airing this fall.

Asher Antonzyn reappears as Danny Morgan, Jason (Steve Burton), and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) son. The teenager interacts with Rebecca Herbst’s Elizabeth on Monday, September 16.

Charles Mesure is back on the scene as Jack Brennan. Look for Robert (Tristan Rogers) to interrogate the WSB station chief on Friday, September 20.

The Young and the Restless

Lauralee Bell is back on set filming scenes at The Young and the Restless. Her character, Christine Williams, had been on tour with her onscreen rock star beau, Michael Damian’s Danny Romalotti. The actress shared three photos on Instagram – one of the CBS studio lot with the message, “Here today,” another of the Society set, and a third with co-stars  Conner Floyd (Chance), Michael Graziadei (Daniel) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis). “Tour life was amazing, but one of us had to get back to Genoa City life!!” posted the actress. “So happy to be back with the gang!”

Lily Brooks O’Briant resurfaces as Lucy Romalotti on Monday, September 16. The reeling teenager has scenes with her onscreen parents, Michael Graziadei’s Daniel and Vail Bloom’s Heather. 

Judah Mackey makes another appearance as Connor Newman on Tuesday, September 17. He’ll interact with his TV dad, Mark Grossman’s Adam. 

Linden Ashby gets lots of screen time this week as the late Cameron Kirsten. He airs on Monday, September 16, opposite Sharon Case’s Sharon, as well as on Tuesday, September 17, Thursday, September 19, and Friday, September 20.

The Bold and the Beautiful

A pair of surprise guests are returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. Former Roseanne star Tom Arnold is back as Captain Deuce Stevens, the Forrester family pilot. He airs on Friday, September 20.

Also resurfacing is Jamison Belushi, the daughter of actor Jim Belushi. On Friday, September 20, the actress returns as April, a lab technician at the hospital.
