Here are the latest soap opera comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.
Casting For The Week of April 21, 2025
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
The Bold and the Beautiful
A Forrester fashion show kicks off on B&B on Thursday, April 24, and there will be some special guests in attendance. The Hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag will be seated in the first row, as the models strut their stuff on the runway.
The reality couple will be joined by Lauralee Bell. The actress is making another crossover appearance as Christine Blair, the character she portrays on The Young and the Restless.
Social media influencer Markell Washington will be on hand too. Washington will also be an attendee at the fashion extravaganza.
As the Liam (Scott Clifton) medical drama continues, expect to see more of Cassandra Creech as Dr. Grace Buckingham and Ashley Jones as Dr. Bridget Forrester. Also, Sophia Paras is back as Kelly Spencer, Liam and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) daughter.
Days of our Lives
Two daughters have been recast on DAYS. Alice Halsey debuts as the new Rachel Black, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) little girl, on Thursday, April 24. Halsey’s credits include the mini-series, Lessons in Chemistry, and the Disney Junior animation series, Kindergarten: The Musical. The actress replaces Finley Rose Slater, who had portrayed Rachel from 2021 to 2025.
In addition, Will (Chandler Massey) and Gabi’s (Cherie Jimenez) daughter will be returning to Salem as a teenager next month. Marissa Reyes has been cast as the new Arianna Horton. Reyes portrayed Cami on the Netflix series Raven’s Home and Kate in the horror film Spirit Halloween. She also recurs as Sofia on Running Point, the Netflix series starring Kate Hudson. Arianna was previously portrayed by twins Harper and Sydnee Udell (2013 to 2019), Sydney Brower (2019 to 2020), and Lane Rosa (2022).
Stacy Haiduk turns up as Susan Banks on Monday, April 21. Look for the character to visit her hospitalized son, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel).
Chad’s (Billy Flynn) missing kids finally appear this week. Cary Christopher is back as Thomas DiMera, and Autumn Gendron returns as Charlotte DiMera. The duo share scenes with their TV dad and others on Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24.
Kyle Lowder continues his story arc as Rex Brady on Monday, April 21. He’ll interact with his TV parents, Lauren Koslow’s Kate and Josh Taylor’s Roman on Monday, April 21.
Alison Sweeney and Louise Sorel have wrapped up their short story arcs as Sami Brady and Vivian Alamain. The pair left Salem together on Friday, April 18.
The Young and the Restless
The Abbott sisters have headed off the canvas at Y&R. Beth Maitland, who plays Traci, and Eileen Davidson, who portrays Ashley, left town for New York last week. The duo’s exit coincides with the end of the Traci-Martin (Christopher Cousins) storyline. As always, the door has been left open for their return at a later date.
After being MIA for weeks, Jay Eddie Peck is finally back on the scene as Cole Howard. He shares scenes with Amelia Heinle’s Victoria and Hayley Erin’s Claire on Thursday, April 24.
Valarie Pettiford gets more screen time as Amy Lewis. She interacts with Jermaine Rivers’ Damian and Sean Dominic’s Nate, who gives her an update on her medical condition on Wednesday, April 23.
Cait Fairbanks pops in as Tessa on Tuesday, April 22, when her character comes to someone’s rescue.
Beyond the Gates
Jason Vendryes has been cast in the recurring role of Kenny on BTG, a mysterious newcomer who’ll have an impact on the lives of Clifton Davis’ Vernon and Brandon Claybon’s Martin. He’ll make his debut on the CBS soap in May. Vendryes currently appears as Agent Slomkowski on BET’s Ruthless. His previous credits include the Tyler Perry series Too Close to Home, Amazon’s Living V, and OWN’s Ambitions.
General Hospital
Asher Antonyzyn continues to get more airtime as Danny Morgan on GH. Look for the teenager to open up to his TV father, Steve Burton’s Jason, about missing his late mother, Sam (Kelly Monaco) on Thursday, April 24.
Adrian Anchondo resurfaces as the mysterious Marco, Natalia (Eva LaRue) and Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) son. He interacts with Van Hasis’ Lucas on Monday, April 21.
