Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all four daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless.

Casting For The Week of September 30, 2024

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.

The Young and the Restless

Has Vail Bloom’s run as Heather Stevens ended on Y&R? Her character appeared to have been murdered after an altercation with Sharon (Sharon Case) last week. But is she dead, or is the whole incident just a figment of the mentally unstable Sharon’s imagination? The show is keeping mum about Bloom’s status. 

Lily Brooks O’Briant returns as Lucy Romalotti. She airs in scenes opposite her TV dad, Michael Graziadei’s Daniel, on Monday, September 30.

Linden Ashby continues his run as the late Cameron Kirsten. His character continues to haunt Sharon on Thursday, October 3, and Friday, October 4.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Cassandra Creech is returning to B&B as Dr. Grace Buckingham after nearly two years away from the fold. The character, brought on to play Paris (Diamond White) and Zoe’s (Kiara Barnes) mother in 2022, is a cardiologist. She’ll be involved in Taylor’s (Rebecca Budig) newly surfaced heart issues. Creech debuts on Wednesday, October 2, in scenes with Budig and Thorsten Kaye’s Ridge. She also appears on Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4.

Also airing this week are Heidi Grace Engerman as Lainey, Shannon McMullen as Willow, and Jade Coatsworth as Kingsley. The trio all air on Wednesday, October 2.

General Hospital 

Lucas Jones is returning to the Port Charles canvas. Van Hansis is taking over the role of the late Tony (Brad Maule) and Bobbie’s (Jacklyn Zeman) adopted son. The actor, best remembered for portraying Luke Snyder on As the World Turns from 2005 to 2010, debuts on Friday, October 4. Ryan Carnes last played Lucas.

Cassandra James appears as Dr. Terry Randolph on Monday, September 30. She interacts with her longtime bestie, Rebecca Herbst’s Elizabeth. 

Charles Mesure returns as WSB station chief Jack Brennan. On Monday, September 30, the character briefs Tristan Rogers’ Robert on information.

Parry Shen pops back in as Brad Cooper. On Thursday, October 3, look for Brooke Kerr’s Portia to question the lab tech.  

Jophielle Love airs as young Violet Finn. Love shares scenes with her onscreen aunt and uncle, Amanda Setton’s Brook Lynn and Josh Swickard’s Chase on Friday, October 4.

Days of our Lives

Richard Wharton returns to DAYS as Dr. Wilhelm Rolf. The diabolical scientist and mad DiMera family minion airs on Wednesday, October 2, in scenes with Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen DiMera. Wharton made his last appearance on the show back in November of 2023.

Madelyn Kientz gets more screen time as Sophia Choi. The feisty teen shares scenes with Ashley Puzemis’ Holly on Wednesday, October 2, and with Leo Howard’s Tate on Thursday, October 3.
