Here is the latest comings and goings casting news for the week of September 7-11 from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.
Days of our Lives Casting
A long-missing daughter surfaces on DAYS this week. Sydney Malakeh makes her debut as Sydney DiMera, Sami (Alison Sweeney) and EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) daughter, on Wednesday, September 9, when she crosses paths with John-Paul Lavoisier’s Phillip and Cherie Jimenez’s Gabi in Monte Carlo. Malakeh’s credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Shrinking, Loot, and The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Franco Lo Presti is set to join the cast as Dante, a character linked to Alison SSweeney’sSami. (Could he be the Italian fiancé Sami mentioned on her last visit to Salem?) The actor makes his first appearance on September 14. Lo Presti is best known for his role as Cliff Marleau on the HBO Max series, Heated Rivalry.
Maggie Carney gets more screen time as Rita. The executive assistant gets a new assignment from her boss, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), on Friday, September 11. Carney weighed in on some fan fiction that paired her character up with another Salemite.
The Young and the Restless Casting
Jai Rodriguez returns for another guest stint as Pietro, a party planner extraordinaire on Y&R. Rodriguez, who first appeared on the soap to arrange Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday soiree in May 2025 and resurfaced to organize Danny’s (Michael Damian) and Christine’s (Lauralee Bell) nuptial festivities in November 2025, is back this week. Look for Pietro to confer with Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) when they make a big decision about their wedding on Tuesday, September 8.
Roger Howarth continues his stint as Matt Clark. His character reveals his plans for redemption to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) on Monday, September 7, but gives her mixed signals on Friday, September 11.
Stacy Haiduk pops back in as Patty Williams, and, surprisingly, out of the slammer. Look for Patty to come out from the shadows on Thursday, September 10, and also pay a surprise visit to Howarth’s Matt. Haiduk revealed one of her most challenging story turns as Patty and how she tackled it.
General Hospital Casting
Alimi Ballard is tackling the role of the new WSB honcho, William Baines, on GH. The actor is no stranger to soaps. He previously played Frankie Hubbard, the son of All My CChildren’sJesse (Darnell Williams) and Angie (Debbi Morgan), albeit not on AMC. Ballard portrayed the character on Loving (1993-1995) and The City (1996). Here’s a quick look at Ballard’s career past.
Finn Carr returns as Rocco Falconeri. The troubled teenager airs again on Monday, September 7.
Kayden Brenna Tokarski is back as Scout Cain. She interacts with CCarr’sRocco on September 7.
Troy Lennon Appel gets more airtime as Hudson Parker. Look for the Port Charles newcomer to get an eyeful of something on Wednesday, September 9.
Wes Ramsey continues his stint as the late Peter August. The character taunts and haunts Finola Hughes ‘ Anna throughout the week.
On the exit front, Genie Francis has left Port Charles as Laura Collins. The character headed to Ireland last week to visit her husband, Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), and grandson, Ace. The storyline move coincides with Francis ‘ annual vacation. She’ll be back on screen sometime this fall.
Chris McKenna has also departed the soap as Jack Brennan. The former WSB honcho was killed off and found floating dead in the Metro Court pool. McKenna had played Jack since February 2025, when he replaced Charles Mesure. McKenna shared a special message with fans after wrapping his GH run.
Beyond the Gates Casting
Khiry Walker and Denzell Dandridge have joined the BTG cast as Cedric Johnson and Lamont Johnson, Shanice’s (Ernestine Johnson) brother. Walker’s credits include Law & Order: Organized Crime and The Chair Company, while Dandridge has appeared on Street Code Broken, Coming of Age, itfactor, and The Dirty D.
The Bold and the Beautiful Casting
Kelly Sullivan is back on the B&B storyline forefront as Darcy Dylan. The daytime vet, who was recently cast as the mother of Sydney, airs on Monday, September 7, and Tuesday, September 8. Look for Sullivan to share powerful scenes with Bullock. Sullivan, who hadn’t appeared on a soap since 2016, opened up about her fears of returning to the medium.
