The legal battle related former soap star Jensen Buchanan‘s (ex-Elise Moxley YR, ex-Melissa Bedford GH, ex-Sarah Gordon Buchanan OLTL, and ex-Vicky Hudson, AW) DUI charges stemming from an accident she allegedly caused last May continues.
According to Soaps.com, Buchanan appeared in Santa Barbara County Superior Court with Judge Gustavo Lavayen presiding on Wednesday, May 17. The victim in the case, Bradley Asolas, and his family also appeared.
The judge set a preliminary hearing date for Friday, June 9 during this week’s appearance. The accident that led to this court case occurred one year ago on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
After that crash, court documents allege that Buchanan’s blood alcohol level measured .34 percent, well over the legal limit, shortly after the incident occurred.
Since the accident, the ex-stop star wore an ankle monitor and attended rehab. At the conclusion of the case, if she’s found guilty, possible sentences include prison time or probation related to the felony charges of driving under the influence and causing injury. Prior to these charges, Buchanan had no past criminal history.
