For every top-notch soap storyline, there are always a few clunkers that viewers don’t particularly like — even on General Hospital (GH).

Sometimes it’s an evil villain or villainess, who has gone too far. Other times it’s a contrived plot twist or a bizarre medical condition that just doesn’t ring true. Fans were quick to weigh in on their least favorite GH storyline of 2017. Here’s what over 3,000 of you had to say.

Man Landers
Advice columnist Man Landers didn’t get much love from GH fans. Over 41% of you named it your least favorite story of the year. You found the whole plot hokey and didn’t care for the way Amy (Risa Dorken) manipulated Nathan (Ryan Paevey) into working with her. No matter what her intentions, it was wrong.

Naughty Nelle
Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) naughty antics received a giant thumbs-down from 24% of fans. You grew tired of watching her lie and maneuver to get her way, be it with Nina, Valentin or especially Michael (Chad Duell). Her big pregnancy reveal totally infuriated you because now Michael’s tied to the wench for life.

Toxoplasmosis
Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) bout with toxoplasmosis, which led her to shoot Sonny (Maurice Benard) and push him into a deep hole on the docks, was a dud, according to 15% of fans. You never bought her sudden hatred of her old friend and thought the fact that she never told anyone about her hallucinations was just plain dumb.

Liv Jerome
The sudden appearance of Liv Jerome (Tonja Walker) and her diabolical plots was a major miss with 15% of fans. In short order, she arranged for the car bomb that killed Morgan, insisted Julian murder Alexis, pushed a pregnant Sam off a footbridge, and held Anna and Griffin hostage. It was too much and way over the top.

Other Twists
The remaining 4% of you named other plots as the show’s worst. Among them: pregnant Hayden (Rebecca Budig) abruptly splitting town; Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Valentin’s drawn-out custody battle for Charlotte; and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Dr. Bensch’s (James DePaiva) budding romance.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
