General Hospital fans are used to seeing bad guys arrive in town in order to wreak havoc. Many have tried to destroy the harmony of Port Charles over the years and even alter weather patterns!
Now that’s evil! But which one did it best and made the fans go crazy? What almost 3,000 long-time viewers said to us on that account:
Definitely Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers), 54% of you assert. She put a curse on Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Webber Baldwin (Genie Francis) on their wedding day, and that curse came back to haunt them many times over. They were both presumed dead. Both of their children were presumed dead. As was their grandson. They split up. There were harassed by assorted other Cassadines for decades. And it all began with the one and only Helena.
You have to admit, 39% of the General Hospital audience counters, that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) gave Helena a run for her money. He was more obsessed with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), which sucked Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) into the mix. And let us not forget that Faison unleashed the disaster that is Peter August (Wes Ramsey) into the world.
Before Helena, Luke and Laura (and Robert) had to deal with Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos). Helena just liked messing with various individuals. Mikkos wanted to freeze the whole world via his Ice Princess-powered evil weather machine. To 5% of fans, that made him worse than any relative that came before — or after.
Even fewer voters, a scant 2%, went with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). On the first go-around, he was no more than Mikkos’s flunky, hanging around their island’s underground lair, flirting with his movie-star girlfriend, unaware she was flirting with the debonair spy she ran into outside the compound. Now, he just makes empty threats. And faces.
