Austin Gatlin-Holt has been on General Hospital long enough that it’s time for fans to start looking around and finding a love interest for him. Except Austin may have beaten you to it.
A General Hospital Crush
He looked around himself, and his eyes landed on…Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). He obviously has a crush on her. What should Maxie do about that? We’ve got the opinions of over 3,000 viewers:
God Helps Those Who Help Themselves
Almost half of you, 43%, see a good reason for Maxie to encourage Austin (Roger Howarth). And that reason has nothing to do with Austin…or even Maxie. It has to do with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). And it has to do with ELQ, the family company that Austin is now making inroads in.
Brook Lynn is currently taking care of Maxie’s daughter, Louise, passing her off as her and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter, Bailey. Maxie wants her baby back, and helping the Quartermaines keep their company away from the country bumpkin cousin could be a way to kill two birds with one stone.
Let Him Down Gently on General Hospital
We don’t care about your corporate shenanigans, 36% of the audience dismisses. We care about love in the afternoon. And, guess what, Maxie has more important issues than Austin’s goo-goo eyes. She needs to get her baby back. She needs to escape the scourge that is Peter August (Wes Ramsey), and Austin shouldn’t be a part of that. She just isn’t all that into you. Aussie, move along.
Shot Put
In last place are the 21% who want Maxie to give Austin a chance. Sure, he’s different from both the oddly speaking Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), and the hot and helpful Nathan. And, yes, he’s over a decade older and seems to be in a different place in his life. But, hey, Maxie – do you have any other options?
