Wes Ramsey is currently known to soap audiences for playing the mysterious and dangerous Peter August on General Hospital, but he also played Sam Spencer on Guiding Light.

Who Is Wes Ramsey?

Ramsey was born on October 6 in Louisville, Kentucky. He first became interested in acting at the age of 12 and enrolled in Walden Theater’s three-week program. However, despite the short course, he ended up training at the theater for seven years.

Serious Training
Ramsey was accepted into the Juilliard School’s drama division as a member of Group 29. This group also included actors such as Morena Baccarin, known for her work on Homeland and Gotham, and Glenn Howerton, known for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and A.P. Bio. Ramsey graduated with his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000.

It’s A “Charmed’ Life
Ramsey has appeared in many films and TV shows over the years, but one of his most popular TV appearances came when he landed the role of Wyatt Halliwell on Charmed. He was a recurring character between multiple seasons — and his late witchy grandmother on the show was played by his supposed GH mom, Finola Hughes (Anna).

When Not Working on General Hospital

When he’s not busy on set, Ramsey likes to stay in shape by playing tennis, but he also finds time to play guitar. Not only that, but Ramsey also enjoys the opportunity to work on cars.

Ramsey has been in a relationship with his GH co-star Laura Wright (Carly) for a little over two years (they were dating long before he joined the ABC soap).
