Little Orphan Liz? Is It About Time We See Her Parents on General Hospital (GH)?

Liz arrived on General Hospital (GH) not exactly an orphan. We knew she had parents. She just wasn’t living with them.

She was living with her Gram, Audrey (Rachel Ames), and her sister, Sarah, while dad Jeff and Liz’s unnamed mom remained off-screen.

Liz (Rebecca Herbst) has had three children, multiple weddings, incalculable trauma and angst, and a brand-new sister, Hayden (Rebecca Budig), and yet her parents haven’t seen fit to drop by Port Charles for moral support… or anything else.

MacGyver Yourself In Here!
Back in the late 70s and early 80s, Jeff Webber was played by Richard Dean Anderson. He left the show to headline primetime series like Seven Brides For Seven Brothers (he was the oldest brother, 12 year old River Pheonix was the youngest), Emerald Point and, of course, MacGyer.

MacGyver could get out of anything. So why can’t he figure out a way to return to Port Charles, 80% of you want to know.

Sure, crazy ex Heather (Robin Mattson) also lurking around isn’t exactly a selling point. But, at least he won’t have to worry about bumping into his other ex-wife, Monica (Leslie Charleson). Nobody really sees that much of her these days.

Stay Away
Liz has managed all this time without Mom and Dad, she’ll keep managing, 20% of the audience figures.

Her brother, Steven Lars, didn’t make much of a splash when he briefly passed through. (Which is probably for the best, as then she’d have to ponder how her brother on her dad’s side is also Franco’s brother on their mom’s side, and that’s just… ick.)

The Webbers have made it infinitely clear that they care more about whatever they’re doing wherever they’re doing it, than they care about their daughters and grandchildren.
