Spencer Cassadine returned to General Hospital all grown up – and with grown-up problems. One of them is named Esme Prince. She tells anyone who will listen – asking isn’t required – that she is Spence’s girlfriend.

Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) must have made quite an impression in the few months she’s been on the air since a majority 91% of the audience has labeled her trouble and written off any possibility of Esme being good for Spencer.

Who cares that Port Charles is full of reformed troublemakers like Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), and unapologetic ones like Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Esme is bad, so Esme must be banished not just from Spencer’s life but from all of New York state, preferably.

General Hospital: Take It Easy

A cautious 7% of you don’t disagree that Spencer and Esme are not a match, but you are a bit worried about what she might do if he just cuts her off in that rude and unthinking way that he has. You advise Spencer to do it gently. Try, “It’s not you, it’s me.” Just don’t get her angry. You won’t like her when she’s angry. Just like most fans don’t like her now.

Only 2% believe these two are soulmates. He’s a brat, she’s a brat. Seriously, who could be better? Not Trina, certainly. She’s a provincial kid, compared to these two sophisticates. They deserve each other. Them and their expensive tastes.
