General Hospital returned to production with a bang. First, viewers got their greatest wish when Dominic Zamprogna resurfaced as the long-missing Dante Falconeri. Then Réal Andrews came back from the dead as Marcus Taggert.
General Hospital Comebacks
Fans were thrilled with both moves. However, all they did was make everyone long for more. GH has a few other intriguing characters lingering off-screen. Here are three who would make the greatest storyline impact right now.
Here’s to Hayden
Anna (Finola Hughes) and Finn (Michael Easton) are planning their wedding, while tending to sweet Violet (Jophielle Love), who’s longing for her missing mom, Hayden (Rebecca Budig). Meanwhile, a point of contention between the couple – Anna’s duplicitous “son” Peter – appears to be inching closer to being exposed.
Hayden needs to resurface before Anna and Finn say “I Do” to each other, and the truth comes out about Peter… which is sure to blow up their relationship. Finn will need someone to help him through the ordeal, and who could be better than Hayden, the baby-mama for whom he still has so many unresolved feelings? Their connection needs to be seriously addressed, and the time for it is fast approaching.
Paging Dr. O
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is pregnant with Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) child and totally oblivious to his dastardly deeds, while Nelle (Chloe Lanier) filled Spinelli in on the secrets that Shiloh revealed about the double-dealer. Spinelli then shared what he had learned with Robert, and the pair are even more bound and determined to bring Peter down.
They need to confer with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), the woman Peter framed for his crimes. Doctor O is the perfect person to help Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) and put the final nail in Peter’s coffin. It will be sweet revenge for the woman, and she’ll get to save her beloved Maxie from making a commitment to the creepy con artist.
The Britt Factor
Kelly Thiebaud’s last visit as Dr. Britt Westbourne immediately spiced things up in Port Charles. She quickly added tension to the hospital workplace and was the catalyst in exposing Neil and Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) affair, which led to Neil losing his medical license and Alexis being disbarred.
Plus, her red-hot affair with Julian (William deVry) was a surprise touch that instantly worked. Britt needs to return to help Julian get his groove back post-Nelle, or perhaps revive things with the love-starved Nikolas (Marcus Coloma). Watching her go head to head with a suddenly jealous Ava (Maura West) would be must-watch TV… and it turns out that we are getting our wish because news just broke she’s on her way back to Port Charles. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
