Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is living a nightmare when Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) calls her in for questioning. She’ll put on a brave face during the ordeal, knowing she’s innocent. But, can she, or anyone else, prove it?
While Trina’s friends and family worry themselves sick, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) steps up. He corners Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and does some detective work of his own — mob-style. Can the kingpin get a confession? Esme is tough as nails and with Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) blood running through her veins, she’s not going to crack very easily. GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. It is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless (Y&R), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
