Liz (Rebeca Herbst) has reached a crossroads, and she’s tired of all the drama with Nikolas (Adam Huss). “I know what I have to do,” she tells Finn (Michael Easton). “Turn myself in.” Will he agree this is the best course of action?
Also hitting their breaking point is Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). He makes it clear to Laura (Genie Frances) he’s had enough. “I’m not going to let him destroy anyone else,” he tells his grandma. His father is going down, and he can’t wait.
Trina (Tabyana Ali) feels the tension in the air. She sits close to TJ (Tajh Bellow) and warns him of what’s to come. “There’s going to be a major blow-up.” She’s well aware everything is coming to a head.
Trina is right. The Cassadine men are at war. Battles like the one between Austin (Roger Howarth) and his cousin Mason, are breaking out all over town — and blood will soon be shed. As things fall apart around him, Nikolas does the only thing he can do. He goes back to Spoon Island and tries to get to Ava (Maura West). Will she let him in the door, though? GH made its debut in 1963 and was created by the husband and wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley, taking place at a hospital but in an unnamed city. In fact, the setting wasn’t named as Port Charles until the 1970s. General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) super spy exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. Epic romances, action-adventure stories, and love on the run have enthralled viewers over the years.
