Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) feels the heat when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) taunts her. She’s already on edge with so many people on the hunt for Louise, and the last thing she needs is this maniac getting into her business.

Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier) rattles everyone with her return, but no one as much as Laura Collins (Genie Francis). Luke’s memorial brought one too many people out of the woodwork, but her homecoming takes the cake!

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) issues a warning to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Things are heating up in Port Charles, and she needs to watch her back!

Meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a rough week. First, he has it out with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) after the latter tries to dole out some advice. General Hospital History

GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.

The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.

Bringing the Drama

More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. It is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless (Y&R), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
