On the Friday, February 16 episode of General Hospital, spoilers focus on characters who are in a needy place. They’re busy worrying, having to be reassured, and seeking words of wisdom. So do them a favor and don’t miss the episode.
From Anger to Worry
Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) head must be spinning — he was just blindsided with yet another betrayal and a boatload of half-truths and lies of omission. This time the culprit wasn’t Nina (Cynthia Watros), but Carly (Laura Wright), Dex (Evan Hofer), and Michael (Chad Duell).
So what’s a mobster / coffee importer to do? Hold on to the anger that caused him to pull a gun on Dex? That required him to confront his ex-wife and their son? And made him completely ban Nina from his life? Plus, he still doesn’t know who’s targeting him. He has to be frustrated on top of all the worry he’s now feeling. Because he can’t trust anyone in his life and a vulnerable Sonny means it’ll be harder to defend himself from any enemies, known and unknown.
Port Charles Protection Duty
Good thing Sonny doesn’t have to worry about the cops. Right now they’re actually trying to help not hinder by investigating who shot Curtis (Donnell Turner). Ultimately, this means if they find out who shot Curtis, they find out who targeted Sonny. Needless to say Anna (Finola Hughes), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and Deputy Mayor Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) have serious strategizing to do. Hopefully, this strategizing will prove fruitful and they’ll come up with solid leads.
Meanwhile, super Christian, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), only wants the best for the good people of Port Charles, especially his sister Laura (Genie Francis). He never lets her forget that he protected her grandson Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) when he was in prison. And now he’s offering the same for her son, Nikolas (Adam Huss). In fact, he lays out a plan of just how he’ll accomplish this goal. Will his “kind” gesture meet with Laura’s approval? More importantly, will he expect something from his sister in return?
Reassurance and Words of Wisdom
Elsewhere, Ava (Maura West) tries to impart words of wisdom to Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Ava and Joss’s dynamic has been more peaceful as of late so Joss may actually listen to Avery’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) mom. Does this advice have to do with how to handle the Dex/Sonny situation? Or something else?
Finally, look for Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to reassure Sam (Kelly Monaco). This may have to do with Danny’s (Asher Antonyzyn) close call with the cops when they delivered him home after they caught him drinking in the park. Alexis may be able to provide context to what Danny’s going through. Also, she’ll be able to reassure her daughter that her parenting skills are stellar and she should continue on her current parenting path.
