GH Spoilers for January 4: News of Luke Spencer’s Death Spreads

Devastating news hits Port Charles when Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) brings word that Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) is gone. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) encourages Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to open up — after all, they were a huge part of each other’s lives for years. But Laura has an unenviable task ahead. Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) realizes Laura has come to tell her horrible news.

That news will devastate many others in town but for now, the news is contained. Former partner-in-crime Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gets a different sort of surprise from ex-flame Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore). He also tells Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) how his fortunes have turned around and he tells the dark prince it’s all possible because of him.

General Hospital Spoilers: Trouble Ahead

That’s not all that Nikolas has to deal with — as he and wife Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) have to deal with his uncle, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Victor tells Ava and Nikolas that the winds of change are coming soon. Does this have something to do with his grand plan that involves a newly awakened Peter August (Wes Ramsey), or is it something else?

Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), obviously hasn’t seen his mother yet either or heard her news and suggests to Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and daughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), who is hugging Bailey, that it’s time they make something official. Will Bailey get christened? Or will Ned and Olivia make their reunion official and get remarried? Tracy will love that (that was sarcasm, folks!).

General Hospital: Words of Warning

Elsewhere at the Quartermaine mansion, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) cautions Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to be careful — she can’t lose him again, especially now that she’s also lost, Jason Morgan. He tells her he has some unsettled business of his own that needs to get taken care of.

Drew’s BFF Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has anything but their business together on his mind. He and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) just spent their first night together and they’re going to take an important step. He tells her something he’s been wanting to say all morning. Considering how things are going nuts in Port Charles, he better quicken the pace before they get interrupted!
