General Hospital Spoilers: Phyllis Confirms Nelle’s True Identity

General Hospital spoilers for Monday, February 15, 2021, reveal the day Nina has been waiting for. The matching necklace was enough of a clue that Nelle might very well be the daughter she had been searching for and the photo of Nelle wearing the necklace as a child was another clue. But now Phyllis reveals the biggest clue of all.

General Hospital Spoilers Highlights

After prompting from Mike (Maurice Benard), aka Sonny, aka Smike, Phyllis (Joyce Guy) arrives in Port Charles ready to help Nina (Cynthia Watros) put the pieces of the puzzle together. And that she does. Nina shows her the two necklaces she is wearing and also that childhood photo of Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Phyllis is thrilled for her but then asks if she wants confirmation that this girl is her daughter, why not just ask her?

That’s when Nina has to shock Phyllis and tell her that the girl in the picture is dead and that she died after falling off a cliff while she was running from the police (or Carly, in this case, but Nina only learns that later). Phyllis is stunned and reiterates how guilty she feels giving the baby girl away. Hearing how her life turned out doesn’t help.

Phyllis assures Nina she would be able to recognize the man she gave the baby to immediately, so Nina hands her an old picture of Frank Benson and the look of recognition is all Nina needs. Phyllis confirms it was Frank who pulled up in a big, black car in Florida and she gave the infant to him and his wife.

Nina then tells Phyllis she knew Nelle without realizing she was her daughter and that she now wonders if she would have turned out differently if someone had been there to love her.
