General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, January 22, 2020, reveal a day of shock and intrigue. You won’t want to miss a moment of this edge-of-your-seat episode.
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Carly (Laura Wright) pick up where they left off in life — arguing and trying to one-up the other. This time they fight over Wiley — as well as Nelle having the gall to say her son’s name. Carly hurls threats in Nelle’s direction, and the younger woman is left shaken.
A talk with a worried Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) gives Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) direction about how she wants to handle Michael’s move-in request.
In the meantime, she also helps Willow deal with her frustration about the Brad (Parry Shen) and Nelle situation. Will Willow figure out a way to get that black widow away from the boy she thinks is her son?
Nikolas and Ava fly home after the not-so-successful meeting with Spencer and miraculously, Nikolas even says he’ll sign Ava’s post-nuptial agreement. However, he doesn’t agree to the open marriage terms. While Ava and Nik agree they had no intention of sleeping with each other (sure, Jan), Nikolas wants a faithful wife.
Michael (Chad Duell) finds Josslyn (Eden McCoy) on the docks and as soon as he warns her about Nelle, Joss loses it, instructing Michael on what he has to do next to save Wiley from Nelle’s evil influence.
Joss knows that Nelle’s no-good and tries to remind her brother of that fact — and how Nelle will try to kill him again. But Nelle isn’t his biggest threat right now.
Laura (Genie Francis) sticks her nose in Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) hearing to no avail (he gets bail), leaving the notCassaine available to mess with Lulu (Emme Rylan) about custody of Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Laura (Genie Francis) sticks her nose in Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) hearing to no avail (he gets bail), leaving the notCassaine available to mess with Lulu (Emme Rylan) about custody of Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Elsewhere, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) grow closer as they share a dance. Then, they share a kiss.
Laura goes to see Michael on the docks for a meeting about her waterfront project, so he leaves Joss to Carly, who was also there. Who thought the docks were a safe place for meeting up like this? Well, it wasn’t and it’s Joss who first spots the gunman as bullets start flying — hitting Laura.
In Brooklyn, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) bring Mike (Max Gail) to a restaurant to get something to eat and of course, Mike charms the ladies. But it quickly looks like the hit happening in Port Charles wasn’t the only hit scheduled against Sonny’s loved ones.
Jason quickly spots the gunman as shots ring out, targeting Sonny and Mike. Will Jason do his hitman/bodyguard thing in time or will there be more victims? General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
