Hayley Erin, who won a Daytime Emmy for her role as Kiki on General Hospital, took on a new part last year when she became wife to actor Adam Fergus (Supernatural). Now, both she and her husband are taking on the roles of parents — the couple has announced they’re expecting a baby.
And Baby Makes Three For Hayley Erin and Husband
Fergus’s post on Instagram was somewhat subtle. It’s a photo of him and Erin with her putting her hand over his mouth. “Hey guess wh……… 🤐,” Fergus posted. To which Erin playfully commented: “What??”
Despite this being April Fool’s Day, followers of Fergus read into it that the couple is expecting and posted congratulatory messages. Erin, glowing in Fergus’s picture, removed any doubt as to what the couple’s big news is by posting on her Instagram account a photo of herself and her husband with the words “MOM + DAD” written above their images.
Erin began her acting career in primetime, playing the adorably-named character “Buttercup” in a 2004 episode of Malcolm in the Middle. She made her soap debut in 2008 as Abby on The Young and the Restless. She played the part for two years before the character was aged again with Emme Rylan.
Erin joined the cast of General Hospital (as did Rylan as Lulu) when she took over the role of Lauren “Kiki” Jerome from Kristen Alderson in 2015. Erin stayed on the show until 2018 and left on a high note, winning the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series. She returned to the show the following year for a guest spot when Kiki’s mom Ava (Maura West) was having a fantasy.
After Erin left GH, she joined the cast of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which ran for 10 episodes. Her other credits include appearing in the pilot of the long-running ABC sitcom Modern Family. Most recently, Erin had a role in the series L.A.’s Finest.
Soap Hub joins Erin and Fergus’s family and friends in congratulating the couple on their upcoming bundle of joy.
