On General Hospital, Hamilton Finn is fresh off a sad break-up with Anna Devane, and Elizabeth Webber Baldwin is still grieving the sad death of her husband Franco Baldwin. However, both were able to shove their sads aside in order to move Peter August’s dead body…only to have it disappear.
So they have a lot on their minds. But should romance be one of those things? Over 4,000 voters needed us – and the show – to know that:
Oh, my gosh, over half of you, 56%, are hyperventilating. Those two are so cute together! Look how their eyes light up when they see each other. Look at those cute half-smiles in each other’s direction. Look how she’s not sure how he feels and he’s not sure how she feels and it’s all awkward and middle school and just what Port Charles needs right now.
Too soon, too soon, another 26% of the audience is frantically waving their hands and throwing themselves in the paths of Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton). They both really need to get over their previous significant others before they can feel free enough to fall for someone else, and if this thing is going to work out, they can’t enter it with baggage. Well, more baggage than the average GH character. A half dozen weddings before age 40 is normal, right?
A minority 18% of fans just don’t see a spark between the pair. They can work together, they can be friendly, they can have Aiden and Violet over for play-dates. But a romance requires heat and passion and longing and sizzle. Not Fizzle. You see what we did there? We realize the nickname is tempting, but don’t let it cover up the fact that’s it’s exactly what this couple is doing.
