GH Spoilers Recap For September 9: Trina Learns The Truth As Spencer Goes To Jail

The GH spoilers recap for Friday, September 9, 2022, features Ava Jerome Cassadine deciding life is too short and telling Trina Robinson the truth about Spencer Cassadine.

GH Spoilers Recap Highlights

It was a moment-of-truth kind of day for Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) as he made his way to the Port Charles Police Department so that Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) could escort him to Pentonville. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) showed up to try to talk to his son and make amends, but Spencer wasn’t there for it.

Instead, he threatened to tell the cops all about what Nikolas did with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) if Nikolas didn’t leave. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) then put in an appearance and had to break things up.

Over at the hospital, Trina visited with Ava (Maura West), who told her to be careful all alone at the gallery, suggesting she has Rory stay with her for safety.

Trina soon told Ava how Spencer was acting so strange at her party over a letter he wrote her that he didn’t want her to see. Ava decided enough was enough, and she informed Trina that Spencer had always believed in her and chose to stay with Esme to get the truth about the sex video.

When Ava made Trina see that Spencer was always trying to save her from Esme’s wrath, she rushed to the police station to see the young man, but Rory was forced to inform Trina that Spencer was already behind bars.

General Hospital Recap: Sonny Confronts Victor

At the Port Charles Grill, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) let Victor know that he’s aware that Spencer was going to jail just to protect Victor and cunningly asked him how things were between Nikolas and Ava. Victor told him everything was just dandy, but Sonny was curious why he had to drop Avery off for a visit with her mother at the Metro Court rather than Wyndemere.

Later, Sonny paid a visit to Ava, and she thanked him for the bodyguard. However, Sonny wanted to know who he was actually protecting Ava from.

After their time at the PCPD, Victor made his way back to the Port Charles Grill with Nikolas in tow and warned him that Sonny was asking a lot of questions.

GH Spoilers Recap: Even More About Cody Bell

Mac Scorpio (John J. York) had to admit to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to know if Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) was really his son because he didn’t want to rock the boat of their peaceful lives. Felicia said she’d be supportive no matter what Mac decided to do but warned him that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) might decide to meddle in this situation.

At General Hospital, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) questioned Cody about why Mac was asking about him regarding an attempted murder investigation, and Cody said he just might leave town to avoid Mac because his questions made him want to punch the cop. Maxie overheard that and defended Mac, but after Cody walked out, Maxie told Britt that maybe she shouldn’t date Cody after all.

Oddly, Britt defended Cody but was quite curious as to why Maxie really changed her mind because it couldn’t have just been about the punching Mac comment. In the hospital halls, Cody put in a call asking to meet with someone who didn’t like him when they first met.

Over at Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) penthouse, she and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) discussed Cody as they unpacked Dante’s things, and Sam mentioned that Cody seems harmless. Dante countered with the fact that looks can be deceiving, but he didn’t want to elaborate. Sam didn’t push the issue more but commented that she likes the way Dante loosens up when he is around Cody.
