The GH spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 17, 2022, features Ava making promises and offering her stepson a bribe, Harrison Chase melting Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s icy heart, and Gladys Corbin proving that she’s one smart mother.
It was one thing when Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was calling her out on her own shenanigans and otherwise being all kinds of entitled, but when the young upstart dared invoke Avery’s name and Kiki’s memory, Ava (Maura West) put her on full blast. “This is your one and only warning. You keep my daughters’ names out of your mouth, or I’ll make you sorry you ever drew breath!”
Off that confrontation, Ava warned Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that she wanted Esme out of their castle — before she wrecked what was left of their marriage. Nikolas failed to comply. He wants Esme to stay put and he told her so when she came down suitcases in hand. Good thing she hadn’t really packed anything except her shoebox of memories.
Will Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) be happy being relegated to the COO position at a merged ELQ/Aurora Media? Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) sure thinks so. After all, Ned’s a company man, a family man, and the company is a family enterprise. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) disagrees. And he may just be right.
After catching sight of Felty (Brian Norris), Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) bum-rushed him into a private corner for a not-so-cozy chat.
Thanks to her ability to play it cool, Gladys managed to not only get the soulless shutterbug to admit to a previously arranged quid-pro-quo agreement with Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) — his memory card for something she’s in desperate need of – but to get her hands on what that something was and make sure all incriminating photos of Sasha were wiped from the camera.
Now it’s confession time! But is Sasha going to readily come clean about her inability to stay sober…even with evidence of her addiction staring her in the face?
It’s only fair. Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) recited his poem for a room full of people, so Chase (Josh Swickard) should have to sing to a room full of people. The song of choice? A little ditty penned by Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Swoon!
Since Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is already in the know, why not take one more person – and family at that — into his confidence? So, without much ado, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) set Cousin Sam (Kelly Monaco) down and explained his plan to out Esme for the duplicitous schemer that she truly is.
Sam was not amused. Equally unamusing to Spencer was Ava’s offer to allow him nearly unfettered access to his trust fund as long as he exited stage left with Esme. That’s just not going to work.
