GH Spoilers Recap For August 31: Sasha Rejects Conservatorship, Then Bolts

The GH spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 31, 2022, features the reappearance of Sasha Gilmore Corbin as if no time has passed since she was taken to her arraignment.

It’s been nearly a month since Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) attacked Grant Smoltz’s (David Lautman) windshield in a rage, and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) suggested to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) that he become her conservator, AKA her guardian, right before she was arraigned. Somehow, in all these weeks, Brando never mentioned this to his wife, and we still never found out what happened at her arraignment.

However, Sasha and Brando visited a random psychiatrist today who told Sasha a conservatorship was her best bet for staying out of jail. Sasha immediately hated the idea of Brando controlling every aspect of her life, including how she spends her money and where she goes. That prompted her to take off and visit the Metro Court pool. When a fan recognized her as the Face of Deception and wanted a selfie, that put a big smile on her face.

Too bad Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) had just had a conversation with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) about replacing Sasha, but he didn’t want anything to do with that decision.

General Hospital Recap: Anna And Valentin Figure Things Out

The Valentin and Lucy conversation wasn’t only about Sasha. Valentin wanted to talk about Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and why Lucy would flirt with him with a pickle jar like that. She warned him he better not tell Marty and then left. Valentin made it his business to follow her.

At the pool, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) met with Victor and tried to let bygones be bygones, but when Victor mentioned that Charlotte Cassadine stayed at school thanks to a newly-donated equestrian center, a bell went off in Anna’s head, and she seemed to realize that Victor was keeping Charlotte there to control Valentin.

When Lucy showed up at the pool, Anna did her best to get her to continue pouring on the charm for Victor as Valentin watched them together. When Lucy left, Valentin approached Anna and said they needed to talk.

GH Spoilers Recap: All About Ava Jerome

At the hospital, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) questioned Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) some more about where she was when Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) was attacked. Both Liz and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) got defensive until Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) walked in and gave Liz an alibi. Jordan was still suspicious and had more questions for Nikolas, Victor, and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) outside Ava’s room.

Inside Ava’s room, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) begged Ava to wake up because she wasn’t sure how she could go through life without her in it. She said everyone cares, even Spencer. That’s when the alarms started going off, and Ava seemed to be in distress.

General Hospital: Carly Is Confused

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) spent nearly the entire hour trying to tell Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) why they should put the brakes on a relationship that goes further than friendship.

She explained how she had been dependent on either Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) since she was 22 years old and needed to figure her own self out without anyone else. After all, her life has changed so much in the last year.

Drew wasn’t really buying anything Carly was saying and kissed her again, seemingly to prove that she doesn’t have to be afraid of him.
