GH Spoilers Recap For August 23: Sonny Came To The Q Picnic With A Big Bag Of Anger

The GH spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 23, 2022, features a very angry Sonny Corinthos expressing his fury all over the place.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) really wanted to take Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to the Quartermaine picnic, but she refused to go as she knew that people there would talk and make things difficult. Maybe that’s why he let his anger be known wherever he could. Yes, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was rude to slam the door in his face, and Sonny let him know it in no uncertain terms.

Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) later tried to be nice to him, but he just coyly asked about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) because he is mad justice wasn’t served for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton). He had a point, but the anger, Sonny. When Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) walked in and started to defend his wife and push the convo off the topic of Esme, Sonny was not pleased, and he and Nikolas traded angry barbs.

Sonny tried to later cool the anger when Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) questioned him about his life choices. He asked that she just support his relationship with Nina since their son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), does.

Meanwhile, despite almost telling Michael that she has cancer, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) decided she couldn’t bother him with such things when he was angry at Sonny. She then told Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) that Michael doesn’t need to know until she starts treatment, which won’t be till her next trimester. She said she wanted to enjoy these few weeks with Michael and Wiley, so essentially her cancer can wait.

General Hospital Recap: Picnic Hijinks

At the three-legged race, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) beat out Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Later, Brook Lynn and Carly discussed their growing friendships and possible feelings for the respective men.

Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) decided his brother and sister, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante, need to be together forever, so he cooked up a love potion for them and later wasn’t sure who grabbed the two cups. Too bad Sam McCall kept looking over at Carly and Drew as if Dante didn’t exist.

GH Spoilers Recap: Portia And Curtis Get Engaged

TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) couldn’t believe his eyes when he spied Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) proposing to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) at the Metro Court pool, but he made sure to get it all on video. Portia accepted the proposal, and when Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) stopped by the pool, TJ had to warn her about what happened.

Jordan had just finished talking to Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), learning about his schizophrenia. She took it upon herself to congratulate the couple, but couldn’t help but be curious when she heard Portia on the phone talking about genetic counseling for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
