The General Hospital recap for August 8, 2023, features Cody and Brook Lynn getting in to see Sasha, to bad results.
In this episode, Sasha’s condition deteriorated as Cody and Brook Lynn did their best to find out what was really going on. At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy considered having Neddie committed before he performed some songs. Cyrus was sent back to Pentonville after Marty gave away his money. Finally, Valentin explained the Pikeman Group mess to Anna. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Poor Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) remained a mess at Ferncliff, where she hallucinated a visit from Cody (Josh Kelly). Soon, Cody turned into Cyrus (Jeff Kober) in Sasha’s mind, offering her drugs and calling her a violent psychopath. When Cyrus morphed back into Cody, Hallucination Cody chastised Sasha and told her she’d rot in hell.

Cody and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) made their way to Ferncliff to see Sasha. Brook Lynn did her best to distract Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) so Cody could make his way to Sasha’s room. Things started looking up when the nurse recognized her as the BLQ who worked with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and Chase (Josh Swickard). Cody was able to sneak by when Brook Lynn played Chase and Blaze’s new song for the nurse.
As Sasha cowered in a corner, the real Cody walked in, but she became violent and belligerent before BLQ and an orderly arrived. The orderly kicked BLQ and Cody out as Sasha screamed bloody murder.
Tracy (Jane Elliot) shocked Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) when she told her that she decided it was time to have Neddie (Wally Kurth) committed. Neddie heard the whole conversation but was glad to hear that Olivia didn’t like Tracy’s suggestion. In fact, she outright refused. When Tracy left the kitchen, Neddie thanked Olivia for standing up for him but still insisted that Ned was never going to return. Suddenly, Olivia had an idea to keep Ned in the family home — he could collaborate with Brook Lynn to make music together.
She finally got Neddie to sing for her, but Olivia was horrified to see that he had disappeared when he sent her to get some iced tea.
Finn (Michael Easton) approached Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) like they were in middle school again so they could talk in code. At least the moment was interrupted when Gregory (Gregory Harrison) appeared. However, they continued to flirt in front of Finn’s dad, and Gregory liked what he saw. When Elizabeth walked away, Finn was happy to tell his father that he and Liz were back on track.
After Finn went to see a patient, Tracy approached Gregory to ask how he was feeling. Gregory chastised her for calling Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) after his hand shook at dinner. The two sparred some more before Gregory chastised her again, this time for wanting to commit Neddie and take away his agency.
Marty (Michael E. Knight) stopped by to visit Cyrus at GH to tell him he had given all his money to Pentonville prisoners. Marty was still sure that Cyrus had money somewhere, but Cyrus denied it. Austin also peaked in the window because he was clearly affected by his recent conversation with the felon.
Later, Austin (Roger Howarth) met with Mason (Nathanyael Grey) in his office, where Mason warned Austin that he might become a suspect in Gordon’s murder.
Anna (Finola Hughes) asked Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) to explain the message he gave Sonny (Maurice Benard) on behalf of Valentin. The shooting occurred minutes after she delivered the message and knew there had to be some sort of connection. Valentin broke down and told her all about his involvement with Sonny and the Pikeman Group. She was horrified to hear Valentin had consulted with them in the past and was acting as an intermediary between the group and Sonny and wanted to know why he did it.
Valentin explained that he thought cooperating with Pikeman would be a way to bring down Victor (Charles Shaughnessy), considering all the trouble Victor was causing when he first agreed to approach Sonny. Valentin also revealed that Pikeman is connected to the WSB.
