GH Recap: Portia Told Cyrus Where To Go And How To Get There

The General Hospital recap for Monday, October 23, 2023, featured Portia standing strong when she came face to face with Cyrus. She laid into him and told him exactly what she thought!

General Hospital: Back Off, Baddie!

Poor Portia (Brook Kerr) was scared out of her wits when Cyrus (Jeff Kober) turned up at the nurses’ hub. She immediately let him know he was not welcome in her space and needed to leave. She even threatened to get a restraining order for her and her family to keep him away.

Cyrus was undeterred, though. He tried to play it sweet by claiming he was merely there to apologize and make things right. He turned on the charm (and nearly the tears) as he claimed to be very, very sorry. Portia was not buying it. Not for one second. 

Portia nearly lost it before Cyrus relented and finally walked away. She was left shaken up and reliving the trauma of the night he nearly killed her. Cyrus was quite the opposite. He was unfazed as he made his way to the Metro Court to see his lawyer. 

General Hospital Recap: Allies Aren’t Enemies

Over at Pozzulo’s, Sonny (Maurice Benard) held court when Selina (Lydia Look) arrived. Dex (Evan Hofer) bore witness to Sonny confronting Selina about Gladys’s gambling habits and how it went so far. To her credit, Selina had many answers; however, Sonny did not like them. He made it clear his enemies were not his allies and asked Selina which side she stood on. 

Selina quickly saw the error of her ways and switched gears. She told Sonny she very much wanted to stay on his good side and asked how she could redeem herself. The mobster pointed out Cyrus was free and hinted it was up to Selina to deal with the madman. 

Also getting heated were the gals at Deception. Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) came back from lunch to find Tracey (Jane Elliot) behind the desk. Tracy laughed them off by reminding Lucy that she was the majority stakeholder. Tracy then demanded to know about the switch in spokesperson and all but demanded Sasha’s return. She IS the face of Deception, after all. Hire her back now! 

Meanwhile, at the Metro Court, Lois (Rena Sofer) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) of Tracy’s plan to hand over Deception to her. BLQ didn’t quite believe it — Tracy was always out for Tracy. Lois was adamant, though, Tracy clearly didn’t want to see her granddaughter living on a cop’s salary — if the music stuff doesn’t work out, that is. 

GH Recap: All Things Cody

Also meeting up at the hotel were Mac (John J. York) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom). The topic of Cody (Josh Kelly) almost immediately came up which caused Scott (Kin Shriner) to join the chat. Remember when Cody was ready to sue the WSB? Has no one questioned why he wasn’t also willing to sue the PCPD? Hmm…what’s with that? 

Speaking of Cody, he showed up at Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) house bearing a gift. Oh, how nice of him to give her a softball signed by the U.S. women’s team. Lovely. Of course, that wasn’t all he wanted. He needed someone to talk to, which led to a discussion about Mac. Sam just could not understand why he was hiding the truth. As far as Cody’s concerned, it’s all too late now. 

At the same time, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) visited Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). He empathized with her trauma and her desire to run but implored her not to. Life can get better, if you just hold on. Sasha wasn’t sure she believed staying was the right move but thanked him for his kindness.
