The GH recap for Thursday, December 8, 2022, features Anna Devane and Valentin Cassadine going on the run together this time, something they should have done weeks ago.
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, Anna (Finola Hughes) showed two men what she is capable of, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) mysteriously thought she wasn’t good enough for Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Heather Webber (Alley Mills) got a stern warning, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) rejected his son, and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) had a boring date that was about to actually turn interesting. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Anna and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) were not amused to find Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) at Tiffany Hill’s (Sharon Wyatt) door, but he claimed he knew Valentin could lead him to Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) killer. After Anna denied killing Lucy once again, he believed her and hoped he could join them in tracking the killer down. Once Anna informed him Lucy is alive, Martin wanted to be the Three Musketeers more than ever, but first, he had to create a diversion so that Anna and Valentin could escape the U.S. Marshal who showed up.

Eventually, Anna managed to point a gun to his head and then knock him out cold, so she and Valentin escaped, promised to be a team this time to bring down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), and Martin created another diversion for some WSB agents.
General Hospital Recap: Nik And Liz’s Big Secret
Nikolas was shocked when Victor brought Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) home and announced that Spencer would be moving in to be under Victor’s supervision. Nikolas told them, nope, not happening. He made some excuse that he and Spencer could never get along, and Spencer couldn’t believe his father was rejecting him again. When Victor balked and said he had to be the one to watch Spencer, Nikolas told his uncle that he had to move out.
At the hospital, Elizabeth and Finn awkwardly told one another they loved each other, but then Elizabeth remembered she has been keeping secrets from Finn and decided she wasn’t good enough for him. Of course, Finn vehemently disagreed, but he was not happy when Nikolas called. Liz ignored the call but told Finn he had to be accepting of her friendship with Nik. Finn said he got a bad feeling from Nikolas and thought it had to do with Esme Prince.
Speaking of Esme, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) blinked away and told Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) that the letter from The Hook couldn’t have been from Esme because she was a lonely girl who would never write about “me” and “mine.” This seemed to make sense to Jordan, and she knew she had to look elsewhere for this killer.
Later, Ryan wondered aloud what Esme had gotten herself into when Heather Webber entered his room and called him “lover.” Heather had already been warned by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she better not describe getaway driver Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to the cops.
GH Recap: An Awkward Anniversary Date
Trina joined Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) at the Port Charles Grill for their three-month anniversary date and was surprised when Rory invited her to his family’s house for Christmas. He even offered to let her win at tag with all his nieces and nephews, and Trina looked like she wanted to run. Still, she agreed to go, but Rory wasn’t done.
He soon professed his undying love for her, and she wasn’t sure what to say. That’s when Spencer walked right in and saw them together. And the angst goes on…and on.
