The GH recap for Monday, December 5, 2022, features Valentin Cassadine desperate to get information on Anna Devane that we thought he might have already had.

GH Recap Highlights

In this episode, it turned out only Anna’s (Finola Hughes) best girlfriends trust Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) obnoxiously revealed herself to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) averted the cancer talk, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) planned her very first birthday party, and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) shocked Laura Collins (Genie Francis). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Mac Scorpio (John J. York) was not happy when Valentin interrupted his Metro Court meal with Laura and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), so he warned Valentin they are going to bring Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) down so he better distance himself from his father. When Mac left the table, Felicia and Laura were much nicer to Valentin and Laura even invited him to dinner at Charlotte Cassadine’s (Amelie McLain) behest. Laura also got the feeling Felicia knew something she wasn’t telling anyone, so Felicia told her that she better talk to Robert.

When Laura left to do just that, Valentin pumped Felicia for information about Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Anna, so Felicia told him that someone — she wasn’t saying who — let it be known that Lucy was shot with a rubber bullet and then a real bullet was also fired. Valentin finally realized Lucy was alive and wanted to tell Anna, so he asked Felicia to let him know how to find her despite Valentin being the one who sent her away. Felicia wrote down the name of a person who would know where Anna was, Valentin silently read the name, then tore up the paper and doused it with champagne.

Apparently, nobody has bothered to tell Anna that Lucy is alive and why two shots were fired, as it didn’t look like Robert was thinking about this either. After Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) paid a visit to tell him how sorry she is about Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), Laura did show up and Robert was forced to show her the diamond necklace and tell her that Holly never really meant to hurt her.

General Hospital Recap: Corinthos And Corinthos-Adjacent Problems

Josslyn hid in another room as Sonny banged on Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) door. As Dex tried to vaguely tell Sonny how he helped himself the night he was shot, Josslyn decided to reveal herself and admit that she is the one who nursed Dex back to health.

After she let Sonny know that she still hates him, Joss left, and Sonny had a lot of angry questions. He insisted that Dex stays away from Josslyn and then changed the subject to Dex helping him run a whole new project. Dex sounded quite intrigued.

GH Recap: The Big Talk

Over at the Quartermaine gatehouse, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) tried to get Willow Tait to talk about fighting her cancer, but she asked how Michael could be focused on that when he seemed more concerned with his vendetta against Sonny. Michael gave that some thought and popped by Dex’s place to fire him and tell him that his own family was more important than his revenge plot.

However, Dex was excited about Sonny’s new project, telling him he could feel this was a big deal that could change everything. Back at the Metro Court, Valentin and Sonny made eye contact with one another to confirm Dex’s thoughts.

As for Willow’s cancer and birth family search, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) told Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) all about a firefighter who was flying to Port Charles to give him info. Carly asked Olivia to let her know exactly when this person checked into the hotel.

GH Recap: Britt’s Last Hurrah?

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) never threw Britt a birthday party when she was young, and Britt wants to remedy that, so she told Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) she is planning a blowout shindig for New Year’s Eve and was going to rent out the whole Haunted Star for the event.

Austin worried that Britt was really ready to go out with a bang and maybe even kill herself after the party, but she assured him that wasn’t her plan. She just believes that this might be the last birthday and New Year’s Eve she will ever be able to enjoy, so she is going to make it a good one.
