The GH recap for Thursday, December 1, 2022, features Valentin Cassadine and Sonny Corinthos getting a whole new storyline together. How fun!
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, we learned just how much Sonny (Maurice Benard) really doesn’t like Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Also, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) defended Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) made a major decision about the rest of her life, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) all about his adventure breaking Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) out of jail, and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) lost her mind when she didn’t want to hear Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) say another word. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Sonny was surprised when Valentin showed up at his office to make him a business offer. It seems that Valentin has been working with a ‘security’ company that likes to traffic ‘classified’ things and wants to start moving these things through Port Charles. They really would like to use Sonny’s various facilities for storage and will pay Sonny millions for each shipment.
Sonny didn’t like the idea of doing anything for Valentin unless it was helping out Anna. He brought up a myriad of Valentin’s transgressions through the years and turned him down. However, Valentin had to warn him that now that Sonny knows all about this business and what it does, if he doesn’t work for them, he will be seen as a liability and be eliminated. Since that didn’t sound promising, Sonny quickly called Brick (Stephen A. Smith) to get him some more info as soon as Valentin left.
General Hospital Recap: Willow Has A Million Problems
Poor, pregnant cancer-ridden, dying Willow had a rough time of it after her latest round of chemo and just wanted to rest. She also just wanted to feel normal so she asked Michael to leave while she took a nap. Just as Willow was about to hit dreamland, Nina stopped by and kindly asked her to do a nice thing for Sasha. Nina knew Sasha needed a friend due to the anniversary of Liam’s death coming up right at Christmas time, so she asked her if she could help Sasha put out holiday decorations at Rice Plaza.

Rather than just telling Nina that she is tired due to the pregnancy and not feeling up to it, Willow accused Nina of just being manipulative in the hopes of seeing Wiley. That didn’t sit well with Nina, who then accused Willow of being completely selfish. Nina then went on to tell Willow she had a perfect little life and that maybe she should feel some sympathy for others every once in a while.
Willow finally lost it and screamed at Nina to just shut up. While the mother and daughter verbally attacked one another, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up outside and listened in for a bit. Then, she decided she would go off on Nina too, so she barged on in right in time to see Willow go down.
GH Recap: Port Charles Career News
Before Carly made it over to visit Willow, she had a long talk with Josslyn upon learning Josslyn wants to change her major to pre-med. Josslyn explained that after the incidents with Dex and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) that she didn’t want to feel helpless anymore and being a doctor would be the right decision for her.
Carly didn’t buy it and insisted Josslyn was doing this because of her feelings for Dex. While Josslyn admitted that she does indeed feel something for Dex and that her feelings for Cameron Webber (William Lipton) changed, she insisted that has nothing to do with her personal career goals. Makes sense to us.
Meanwhile, Dex told Michael all about his adventure breaking Anna out of jail and everything that happened after. Michael was not happy to hear his mother and his sister were involved and ordered Dex to stay away from Joss. After Michael left, of course, Joss showed up at Dex’s door.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn was dismayed to learn the civilian review board was meeting right at that moment and her letter would be too late. However, she decided to pull some strings for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) anyway.
At Rice Plaza, Chase ended up helping Sasha and he let her in on all the latest BLQ news. Surprisingly, Sasha defended Brook Lynn and reminded Chase how they also tried making decisions for other people thinking it was in their best interest. Chase gave that some thought but was then crushed when he got the email that the review board turned down his appeal.
