The General Hospital recaps for December 12 – December 16, 2022, sees a plethora of lies told, trouble compounded, refuge sought, and so much more.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) made contact with Denise McKenzie (Alex Reitveld), a former acquaintance of Lorraine Miller (Inga Cadranel). She tells him that Lorraine (AKA Harmony) adopted the child of a fellow commune member named Joan, but it’s a con cooked up by Carly Roberts (Laura Wright)… Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) falsely claims to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that she’s pregnant with Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) baby.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) got soused and groused at Nikolas that there’s no hope for a reconciliation between him and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali)… Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) encourages Trina to follow her heart — even if that leads her back to Spencer… Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) filled Heather Webber (Alley Mills) in on Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) myriad of misadventures since arriving in Port Charles, then revealed his mobility; they resolve to aid their daughter… Esme plots to use Demetrius’s (Ari Kappatos) sympathy for her to her advantage.
Denise extorts Carly for a larger sum, lest she goes to Drew and shares with him the identity of Willow’s birth father… Drew deduces that Willow is ill… Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) objects to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) condescending to her; he proffers that she doesn’t appreciate being challenged… Alexis halts Finn’s efforts to drown his sorrows.
Nikolas is heartened when Ava implies that she wants to give their relationship a second chance — and chagrined when she hints that she’d like to move back into Wyndemere; Elizabeth interrupts the convo. Afterward, Elizabeth updates Nicholas on the subterfuge that she employed. Neither is particularly thrilled by the implications… Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she didn’t want to get overly attached to Donna Corinthos for fear that she’ll eventually see the girl as a replacement for Nelle.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) spy Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) tussling in a hallway at GH and are shocked when Austin cops to blackmailing Spinelli to check his and Maxie’s compatibility. Maxie breaks up with Austin.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) shares with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) that he’ll be the sole beneficiary of her estate… A despondent Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) confided Britt’s terminal diagnosis to Nina; an eavesdropping Sonny provides pearls of wisdom.
Bolstered by praise for his performance in the field, Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) takes it upon himself to check out a lead in The Hook investigation and runs afoul of the murder-minded fiend… Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina unpack the latter’s complicated feelings for Spencer… Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Spencer happily reconnect. Cameron gives Spencer the 4-1-1 on Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Spencer confronts and decks his cousin’s love rival.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) finds a grievously injured Rory and accompanies him to the E.R… Nikolas presents Ava with divorce papers and relays Elizabeth’s baby lie. Ava promises to make Nikolas pay dearly… Maxie sets about reevaluating her life choices… Dex takes his leave of Spencer, Cameron, and co. and reflects on his and Josslyn’s unconventional courtship… The young adults are rounded up and brought to the hospital. Trina briefly speaks to Rory who reiterates his love for her before taking a turn for the worst.
Rory is declared deceased… When Spencer expressed guilty feelings at having unleashed Esme on the populace, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) tells him he’s not responsible for the evil one’s actions… In the wake of Rory’s death — which has been linked to The Hook — and seeing Esme still ensconced in her tower room, Elizabeth has no recourse but to believe in the villainess’s innocence.
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) agrees to ensure Ava a hefty payday upon her divorce from Nikolas… Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hole up in a windmill in the Netherlands.
